A condition grading scale is meant to provide a general/specific guideline to the consistency of a products quality. There are many such systems available on the internet, all slightly different in some respect so we advise that you take a look at our condition grading model as this is the system used throughout our site. Of course a grading system is not a substitute for doing your due diligence on any item or product you may be considering; instead it is an additional tool available when determining the condition of an item/product whether you are a seller or a buyer.
New
As you would buy it in a store or fresh from the manufacturer. May have been opened for inspection but has never been used.
Mint
Perfect condition and usually in original factory packaging. Flawless or "as new" condition, no imperfections of any kind. Perfect working condition, no modifications and/or repairs.
Refurbished
Items that are restored to specifications by refurbishing companies. Unused or used items have been returned for various reasons: use in field tests, use in sales displays, and cancellations.
Excellent
Slight detectable wear on close inspection. Some flaws due to use and wear but well cared for, possibly a demo model. Perfect working order and all features are legible.
Very Good
Very well taken care of but starting to exhibit aging, obvious that it was used. May exhibit imperfections that are noticeable but otherwise in perfect working or viewing order. May have been modified or repaired.
Good
Serious overall wear or defects from heavy use. May exhibit 1 -2 scratches, dents, and partial worn off lettering, tears and such. Still in good working order.
Fair
Obvious damage to some extent. Sufficiently worn and may or may not be in working order.
As Is
Salvage or parts use. Value in the eyes of the beholder. Good possibilites for someone who is looking for something to spend time working on refurbishing.
